A set of six coasters designed by Piero Fornasetti and made in Italy. The six coasters consist of three coasters depicting Roman profiles of ancient Roman men and three coasters of musical instruments. The series is called "Musicalia". This particular set was an exclusive design for the New York speciality store Bonwit Teller, probably in the 1950's. The coasters are approximately 4 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch tall. All six coasters are marked on the bottom. The set comes with it's original box which has the Formasetti mark on the bottom as well.
