A good quality antique Victorian brass trivet footman, having a solid rectangular top, faceted handles to each side, decorative pierced scrolled openwork skirt on all four sides, the front with a projecting turned faceted knob; rising on two front curved cabriole legs and two cylindrical legs in back with turned peg feet. Iron reinforcement attachments underneath. Signed/stamped, six times: R° N° 400711. circa 1850Can be used many different ways including as a wonderful and unusual drinks table or low side table next to a chair or sofa, a unique fireplace accent piece, placed on a chest of drawers or sideboard as a raised display base, or used as a charming plant stand, just to name a few.
