Very unusual to find a tray from the aesthetic movement. It is not baroque, or even very shiny. It is richly detailed with a scroll on the borders which reminds me of the architect Sullivan'sdesigns on his building in Chicago.the center design is of a simple church and tree with flora surrounded by a rustic branch frame. The initials on the frame are S.E.S. The tag on the back says "Acme, Toronto, Canada" which was in business from 1884 to 1893, when it was absorbed by the George Silver Company.
