Excellent condition. My research may pre-date the time in the early 1940s.This is when the marking used "Arthur Wood England."And there is the number marked in gold 5447. The front of the teapot has a beautiful floral pattern of white and deep purple. The backside has a a single white flower with one deep purple flower bud.It has a beautiful scalloped opening which is lined with a gold band and the lid's knob also has a gold band. This is not a very common design as I could not find another one in my research. The design includes a crazing/crackled finish, as it's uniformly all over the teapot. It's unlike crazing which usually shows up in certain areas.I found that there were others that had this same crazing/crackled finish. There are no cracks or chips. This would make a beautiful display piece or gift to that English vintage teapot collector in your life.Approx measurements 5.5" W;9" L; 5" H;3.5 cups capacity; 1.12 lbs wt prior to very very careful packaging.
